What moves the number

Systems involved

One well-documented API is cheap. An in-house OMS with no docs and a database we reach through a tunnel is more work — and we'll say so on the call, not in an invoice.

Input complexity

Clean digital PDFs from three vendors is one job. Phone photos of handwritten annotations from forty vendors is another.

Approval logic

One threshold and one owner is simple. Value bands, regional routing and multi-step sign-off take longer to model and test.
